New Party Time Set Giveaway

December 13, 2013

I’ve said it a million times and I’ll keep saying it. I’m SO thankful for everything I have because of my awesome customers who support Strawesome and love our products. I want to introduce the new style of our Party Time Set of 6 straws by doing a special giveaway.

Party Time Set of 6

Party Time Set of 6

With the holiday season upon us I’m well aware that there are many people out there who can’t afford to celebrate with gifts.  Every holiday season if I hear through the community that someone is struggling I automatically volunteer to give them some straws in hopes that it will bring just a little happiness into their lives. Giving back is a important thing to me because for nearly 5 years I didn’t have much of anything, sometimes struggling to buy groceries.  I had the love of my husband, children and family but couldn’t get them just a simple gift for Christmas.  With hard work and determination I’ve turned our lives around and made a success out of a dream.  Now I have even bigger dreams to help others in big ways in the future.

So, the giveaway for this set of 6 straws (a $59.95 value) will go to someone you know in need.  You don’t have to share their struggles just tell me who you think will love this little surprise.  One random winner will be chosen and notified on Monday, 12/16/13.

Happy Holidays!

The family that owns the organic farm I buy from near by is in need. They have many adopted children and are great parents to all of them. They began their farming to help one of their adopted children who has severe food allergies. They grow all Non GMO foods to feed their family and animals so that their animals are the best you can find. Yet, in order to sell their food, they do not make much of a profit (buying from a farm is not a huge thing around here yet) – so they tend to struggle. They are just a great family and I think they would LOVE a gift of straws for their wonderful family!
Thank you for this opportunity to give back to them!
here is a link to their facebook page to show everyone what great people they are.

  5. The Whiddon / Bender family! Baby Camden was born to them earlier this year without legs and without arms. Additionally, the dad/grandpa (retired veteran) is working his tail off at minimum wage (the only job he could find, but is still searching for better) with part time hours to support them all!

  6. Fay says:

My family is going through a terrible time right now. My older brother (who is 46) has been in the ICU for almost 8 weeks now- critically ill. He has brain damage but we are hopeful he can recover. This Christmas is going to be especially lean because his medical bills already number in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, and I am about to lose my job at the beginning of next year. Having a gift like this to give to the family would be a bright spot in an otherwise very dark time.

  27. Nancy C. says:

My friend who is a single mom would love these. She’s an advocate for physically and mentally challenged people. The year has been pretty rough with a divorce and job loss. She has a great support austen, but she’d love this little pick-me-up.

  28. Amanda says:

I am another one who is sad to say myself. Unless I pull off the miracle of the century I am not able to put gifts under the tree this year. Heck, I don’t even have a tree yet. I really wanted to make some memories with the kiddos this year but everything I want to do (crafts, baking, etc) would cut into the budget too much. Very depressing. I could use some cheering up myself!

My dear friend from college, Jennifer, would love to have these. She takes care of everyone, including me!

  34. Debbie says:

My son and daughter in law are who I think of when you talk of someone in need. My son works so hard to provide for his family and has had a really hard time lately. They have four kids and were expecting number five but it was not meant to be because they lost the baby. Then the second oldest has now gone through an operation and chemo treatments to reduce the size of a non-cancerous lump behind his eye. The youngest one was born with a muscle deficiency and is still not able to crawl and he is two. They have been forced to drive three and a half hours every week to do treatments. I feel so helpless to help make his life easier, this would be a wonderful gift:-) I own clear glass straws which I use everyday and love them! Would like to get myself some fancy ones yet.

    Namaste…thanks for listening:-)

  36. Joan Mary says:

My friend Jack, he truly deserves a little lift in his life. He just went through a very tough time and a little light at the end of the tunnel will surely cheer him up. (This is a wonderful thing that you are doing to make someone smile showing them that you truly care, Thank You for all that you do!)

The Shroen Family here in Salisbury, MD. Their beautiful mom, only 36 years old, died of cancer last Tuesday. She left behind 4 young children and a devoted husband.

My friend Julia has been struggling and is at her lowest right now. For Christmas I went to Costco and bought her food. she loves to eat healthy, but when you don’t have much money something have to slide. Reusable glass straws would be something she could treat herself too and know she’s helping herself and the environment.

  41. Beth says:

My daughter, Jeana. She is working hard, but yet still struggling as day care is so expensive. She does her best to feed her 2 year old and herself healthy. She juices and makes smoothies (and popsicles) for both of them. She would be sooooo happy and excited to win these.

  42. LuAnn says:

My daughter Cathy and her sweet family.
