Name That Straw Contest

April 3, 2014

You’ll notice in the coming weeks that we’re expanding our barely bent designs and adding more straws. Likewise, we’re going to need a few names.  Here’s the first one:

Barely Bent Autumn AmberThis is a 8″ long barely bent Autumn Amber Straw that is decorated with a clear blue glass swirl and two dots that are a mixed swirl of blue and solid light green.  I honestly don’t think that the picture does this straw justice!

Help me name this straw by commenting on this post with the name you suggest (hint: the simpler the better!).  One entry per person please and a winner will be chosen on 4/8/14 and notified via email to get a FREE straw sent to them! (not necessarily this same style)

But then I thought just Brazilian related places and the timing couldn’t be better since the 2014 World Cup will be held in Brazil. So it could also be a special straw for the World Cup!

    “Baltic Amber”
This is the prettiest straw ever! The only name that seems fitting is Baltic Amber….
There are many kinds of Amber, but Baltic Amber is one of the rarest types of Amber…and considered to be the worlds best Amber (appropriate for the world’s bests straws!) it is unique, never two the same, and Baltic Amber is a wonder of nature– it can float on salt water, but it sinks in fresh. When burned, Amber stones produce a soft burning-pine aroma, and used in Aromatherapy, for its calming effects!

  169. michelle bailey says:

“Comfort”. This straw evokes so many emotions, sitting beachside watching a sunset, picnicking with family or at a bbq on a hot summer evening with something slushy, or even with a hot stewin fall or winter and drinking a creamy hot chocolate. As much as I originally wanted to say tropical sunset, I think of things comforting to me when looking at this georgous straw. Comfort seemed fitting.
