Brian and I recently hit a milestone in our lives, our 20th class reunion from high school! I learned some interesting things at our reunion gathering, both personally and professionally. I take a Strawesome straw with me everywhere I go (mostly because Brian gets on my case if I forget one!) and when you have one you can learn new benefits from using glass straws.
There’s some thinking out there that perfection is best and it’s ironic because no one is perfect. In fact, none of us are exactly alike, even twins have differences. And being different is actually what gives Read the rest of this entry »
Introducing The Bee Straw
We’ve been inspired by the brilliance of the bee and have teammed up with Sabrina Malach and Shoresh Jewish Environmental Programs to create a new special edition Strawesome to bring more awareness to the need for bees, as well as to contribute towards their survival. Sabrina has answered a few questions and provided us some great information which is shared below to that end.

New Earth Day Glass Straw
This Earth Day I’m so thankful to all of you who are doing your part in so many ways to make our Earth a little cleaner. It’s people like yourselves who make other people think and inspire others to change their ways. The beauty of our planet has inspired me to create this new Earth straw!
We’re learning that our glass Bubble Tea straws have become incredibly popular lately and thought we’d celebrate that with a new design. We already have our Bodacious Blue Bubble Tea Straw and are giving it a partner with the straw pictured here, but it doesn’t have a name. Please help us name it!
I remember when the whole BPA-free craze began and honestly it doesn’t seem to have slowed down very much since it first arrived. BPA-free has become a HUGE marketing tactic all over the place.
I was reading this article in the Washington Post the other day and it reminded me why we can’t trust any plastics. The choice is clear when it comes to the products we use to feed ourselves (straws, water bottles, baby bottles) and store our food, and it’s NOT plastic. I look forward to the day when consumer demand has eradicated the plastic container industry altogether.
Keep educating yourself and together we can make this change!

Someone just told me “What fun you must have while creating these straws!” and I responded with “Yes, it is a dream come true.”
